How we research and review comparisons
This page explains what we compare, which evidence we trust, where our incentives may affect the work, and how to request a correction.

Our disclosure
Vitals Vault writes and publishes these comparisons. We sell lab testing and may benefit when a reader chooses Vitals Vault. Competitors do not pay to be included, approve our conclusions, or receive favorable placement. That conflict is why we publish our criteria and invite corrections.
What we compare
- Access and eligibility, including whether a referral, membership, or recurring plan is required
- Test coverage and the biomarkers included in the specific package being compared
- Up-front price, recurring fees, likely first-year cost, and separately priced services
- Lab network, draw process, result timing, and geographic limitations
- Clinician involvement, report depth, follow-up, and action-plan features
- Data access, export, deletion, privacy terms, and subscription cancellation
We compare the closest available packages when possible. If packages are not truly equivalent, the page should say so rather than presenting a biomarker count or headline price as a like-for-like comparison.
Source hierarchy
We give more weight to sources that are primary, current, and directly verifiable.
1. Provider-owned sources
Current product, pricing, help-center, privacy, terms, and lab-network pages published by the service being compared.
2. Independent authoritative sources
Regulatory records, laboratory directories, peer-reviewed research, and other primary sources when they are relevant to a factual claim.
3. Reproducible product checks
Public checkout, onboarding, sample reports, and account workflows that our team can inspect without relying on promotional copy alone.
4. Community experience
Firsthand reports may identify questions worth checking, but anonymous posts and testimonials are not treated as proof of a factual claim.
Review cadence
We target a full review at least every six months and an earlier review when a provider announces a material pricing, package, privacy, or service change. A date means a person reviewed the page; it is not automatically refreshed at build time.
Limitations
Prices, packages, availability, and terms can change after review. The comparisons are general informational content, not medical advice, and they cannot determine which tests are clinically appropriate for an individual.
Corrections and challenges
If a price, feature, policy, or characterization is outdated, email support@vitalsvault.com with the comparison URL, the disputed statement, and a current primary source. We review substantiated corrections and update the page or add context when warranted.
