  5. BPC-157 vs TB-500

The answer, in short

BPC-157 and TB-500 are the two most popular recovery peptides. BPC-157 comes from a gastric juice protein and is studied for tendon, ligament and gut repair. TB-500 is a fragment of thymosin beta-4 and is studied for wound, eye and heart repair. They act through different pathways, which is why people take them together.

Why people take BPC-157 and TB-500 together

The pair is often called the wolverine stack. The idea is that they help repair through different routes: BPC-157 builds blood supply and raises growth hormone receptors in tendon cells, while thymosin beta-4 moves repair cells into the injury through actin.

No study has tested the two together, and blends sold online are not tested for quality. If you want to try both, a clinician can prescribe each from a 503A pharmacy and track your labs.14

Which is better for injuries?

BPC-157 has the larger body of research on the peptide itself, especially for tendons and ligaments. TB-500 draws on thymosin beta-4, which has reached phase III human trials for eye wounds. Your injury, goals and history decide which a clinician would choose.15

Questions

Can you take BPC-157 and TB-500 together?

Many people do, because they act through different repair pathways. No study has tested the combination, so a clinician should decide whether it suits you.

Is BPC-157 or TB-500 better?

BPC-157 is studied more for tendons, ligaments and the gut. TB-500 draws on thymosin beta-4 research in wounds, eyes and the heart. The better fit depends on the injury.

What is the wolverine stack?

A popular name for taking BPC-157 and TB-500 together for recovery.

Are BPC-157 and TB-500 legal?

Neither is FDA-approved. Since October 29, 2026, 503A pharmacies can compound both with a prescription. Both are prohibited in tested sport.
