## What is Tirzepatide?

A dual GIP/GLP-1 agonist — the most effective weight-loss injection studied to date. Reduces appetite, improves insulin sensitivity, and supports meaningful, sustained loss. Our formulation adds B12 and glycine to reduce side effects and preserve muscle.

### What to expect

- **A starting dose that steps up**
Treatment begins low and increases gradually so your body adjusts and side effects stay manageable.
- **Appetite changes first**
Most people notice reduced appetite and earlier fullness before they notice the scale moving.
- **Steady, not sudden**
A healthy pace is roughly one to two pounds a week. Faster is not better.
- **Nausea is common early**
It usually settles within a few weeks and eases with smaller, slower meals.

## What the trials measured

Drag to your current weight to see the average result from the trials. This is a study average, not a prediction of your result.

Your current weight in lb

**230 lb**Current weight

**35 lb**Average loss over about a year in the trials

**196 lb**Where the trial average lands

In clinical trials of GLP-1 medications, adults lost a mean of roughly 15 percent of body weight over about a year. STEP 1, semaglutide 2.4 mg, 1,961 adults over 68 weeks, and SURMOUNT-1, tirzepatide over 72 weeks. All participants in both trials also received counselling on diet and physical activity. This is a study average, not a prediction of your personal result, and individual results vary. What is dispensed here is a compounded preparation, made by a licensed US pharmacy. It was not the product studied in those trials, and compounded medications are not approved by the FDA for safety, efficacy or quality. [Read the source](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33567185/)

## Side effects and safety

Tirzepatide caused thyroid C-cell tumors in rats. Whether that happens in people is not known.

Tell your care team straight away if you feel a lump or swelling in your neck, your voice goes hoarse or swallowing becomes hard, you get severe stomach pain that will not stop, you cannot keep up with vomiting or diarrhea, you get pain in your upper right belly or your eyes turn yellow, or you get a rash with swelling of the face or lips or trouble breathing.

### Common side effects

- nausea
- diarrhea
- vomiting
- constipation
- abdominal pain
- indigestion
- injection site reactions
- fatigue
- hair loss

### Rare but serious

- acute pancreatitis
- gallbladder disease
- kidney injury from fluid loss
- low blood sugar
- worsening diabetic eye disease
- food left in the stomach during anesthesia

Do not take this if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid carcinoma, you have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2, or you have reacted badly to tirzepatide before.

This is not a complete list of side effects. Message your care team about any symptom that worries you. What we dispense is a compounded preparation made by a licensed US pharmacy. Compounded medications are not approved by the FDA for safety, efficacy or quality.

## Common questions

How is tirzepatide different from semaglutide?

Tirzepatide acts on two gut hormone receptors, GIP and GLP-1, rather than one. In trials it produced greater average weight loss, though individual response varies and side effects are broadly similar.

How often do I inject?

Once weekly, as a small subcutaneous injection at home. This formulation also includes glycine and B12.

How quickly will I lose weight?

Steadily, over months. The early weeks are about stepping the dose up and letting your body adjust rather than chasing the scale.

What are the common side effects?

Nausea, constipation, diarrhoea and reflux are the most common, and are usually worst in the days after a dose increase. Eating smaller portions more slowly helps. Tell your clinician about anything severe or persistent.

What happens if I stop?

Appetite generally returns and weight regain is common without other changes in place. This is why the habits you build during treatment matter as much as the medication.

Who should not take this?

It is not appropriate if you have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2, and it is not for use in pregnancy. Your intake covers the full list of contraindications.
